What type of office-work is being offered by Staffworks and what level of qualifications and experience is required to apply?

We place vetted candidates into positions that satisfy our client’s needs so we’re always searching for a wide range of individuals across many industry types, including varying levels of tertiary qualifications and prior experience. 

This means that anyone who is willing and capable to work from their home is welcome to submit their resume and be placed on our candidate register free of any registration fees. 

Our highly skilled HR coordinators work to ensure that we always place the right person for the required role based on a range of five (5) pre-defined competency levels which access your conceptual and applied knowledge, practical application and aptitude in your field. 

Once your application is assessed to determine your competency level, it will be recorded in our recruitment platform so that we can contact you when we have a client requiring your skill-set.

If successful, do I work for Staffworks or the client?

Remember, your relationship is with Staffworks but the work you do is for our client. 

This means that the client will be conducting any training that may be required for the role and who you’ll be working with them on a daily basis.

So who are your clients and where are they located?

Most of our clients are based in Australia and are small businesses with less than 10 employees. In fact, 97% of all Australian companies are made up of small businesses so there are many business owners and managers who are looking to engage competent and skilled Filipinos just like you to help them succeed.

While Australia is a predominantly Catholic nation, we are also considered to be the most successful multicultural country in the world with a rich variety of migrants, cultures and religions from all around the globe.

Aussies are known to be a very friendly, fair and tolerant people. It’s also worth noting that the time difference between Sydney and Manila is just 2 hours (3 hours during daylight savings) so we almost share the same time zone with the Philippines.

Okay, so in what capacity is my engagement with Staffworks?

It is very important to understand that Staffworks will never provide an offer of employment to a candidate and that any engagement is exercised under the terms of an independent contractor relationship.

This means you must take full responsibility for any obligations required under Filipino law such as taxation if you choose to work with us.

What about the setup of my home office – do I need to buy my own computer equipment and internet connection?

Depending on our client’s needs for the role, Staffworks will supply our own business equipment in your home at no cost. This may include a computer, LED monitor, telephone handset and other required accessories.

Obviously, it will be necessary for you to already have a robust internet service such as a fiber connection if you want to work with us and you must insure that you have access to such a service in your home to begin.

Can I keep my current job and work with Staffworks to earn an extra income on the side?

Staffworks does not provide project based or short-term contracts to its clients. 

As such, our clients are seeking to engage dedicated individuals on a full-time basis, so you should be willing to work for at least 5 days per week and 8 hours per day. 

We’re interested in building your career which is why our remuneration packages, at all competency levels, far exceeds the Filipino national average so there should be little reason to consider requiring another job.

What are the typical work hours and do I need to work on the weekends?

The hours of your availability are suggested by the client which is typically standard Australian business hours being Monday to Friday between 7.00am – 4.00pm UTC +8

While some business may request different times, we ensure that our staffworkers receive at least two (2) rest days every week which is generally Saturday and Sunday.

Due to the capacity in which our Staffworkers are engaged, there is no entitlement to receive 13th month pay or remuneration for Filipino public holidays, however most of our Staffworkers are given leave on Australian public holidays which includes the Christmas and Easter period.
